I cant believe the tirade of abuse anyone who agrees with SI is copping, you try to put forward a well written piece on why things need to change and the standard of debate reverts to “you a suck up” or “your F***** stupid” or some other well thought out and reasoned argument. I was even told that non UK gamers should go play something else as this was a game only marketed in the UK so therefore only UK gamers should have a say, unbelievable!

I can't see why everyone is so angry. What's the point. We like this game, we want to keep playing. Yeah, it sucks that the reset is necessary. But: it IS necessary. Gameworlds are dying. I just wish we didn't have to wait four months for the next phase…

There is absolutely no reason to blame the council in this.

This decision was made before we met with the council and how they reacted, whether positive or negative, was not going to affect that as we felt is the right decision in the long run. It was a focus group to try and see how some of our most critical customers (and they were chosen for this reason) would react when faced with this news. I admit that maybe this point wasn't communicated as well as it could have been to the community and that is definitely a learning for the future.

If you're going to vent anger at someone for this decision it should be at SEGA and SI.

We really believe that this decision is for the best of the game in the long run and the decision was made with that at heart. Chasing the $ or whatever other conspiracy theory people might like to blame is just not the case. We want (as I'm sure most of the community do) a game that is stable and will be around for years to come. Without this decision, we don't believe this would have been possible.

Clearly everyone (ie, the odd few hundred people) who are still playing the game are enjoying it so they are going to moan about this.

I was invited to the council but didn't attend. If I had have been told about the resets I would have given them a hi five and done a jig.

Those who think they current GWs could have been saved and the game fixed are deluded.

No. We told them that nobody would care about medals.

We told them there would need to be refunds. And free time. And reduced rates for the old subscribers.

SI should have had a more representative council - we told them that constantly too.

But I'm not going to apologise for having a different opinion to you. Or is having a backbone going along with the crowd?

Have a go at the company for making the "wrong" decision for you, but it's not the council that made this decision. It was Sports Interactive and SEGA. I just happen to support it.

So, because we grilled them over their communication, the numerous fuck ups over the past 12 months, their attitude on the forums, their inability to make meaningful decisions and everything else.

Despite this, because we agreed with them over the need for a reset we're a "Council of Cunts".

Don't blame us. Blame SI for not picking a representative council.

It is possible to agree with someone and not be sucking up.
