The way to combat any player cutting in is to instruct the defender to hold off and show the player onto the outside. Tactically you can remedy this by having a opposite footed or both footed player playing in the FB/WB positions and get them to stand off so they don't lunge in.

Seemples.

To combat wide teams what to do is set your entire team set on short/high tempo passing with low creativity within a narrow formation ala catenaccio. This means no matter what formation the other team use they will find it hard attain possession unless they are constantly pressing and this will tire them out. Then simply hit on the counter as the other team will be pushing high up and pressurising and viola your done them, the whole time your teams stamina etc isnt tested.

Inside forwards are like libero's only useful against tactical noviceds, of which on fmlive there are many

Very true! I think a lot of people fail to see the importance of having players that are proficient at using both feet. It's one of main characteristics I look for!

One killer characteristic an Inside Forward (AML/AMR) could have is the opposite foot!

Pay attention how effective is an AMR with a left foot or an AML with a right foot as an Inside Forward.

You ll be suprised.

(Most effective real players Messi and ADU as AMRs)

I have Morais and Luis Ramirez (and Jesus Navas), but I dont find epsecially Morais doing any good as an Inside forward. He is two-footed, has general really good abilities, but plays poorly.
