It’s the question everyone always asks as soon as SI confirm the new version – “when’s the demo coming out?” Well, the answer is usually two weeks before the official retail release date. And this year is no different.
The FM10 demo is scheduled for 16th October 2009. Put the date in your diary!
The ‘vanilla’ version of the demo (with the quickstarts for England and Scotland only and minimal graphics) will be available via Mirrorfootball.co.uk, the same home of Miles’ exclusive FM10 preview blogs.
As usual, there will also be a ‘strawberry’ demo available (more graphics, more quickstarts), but details of how to get this are yet to be confirmed.
Games started in the new demo are playable in the retail version, so you can get started but won’t have to put it down when you decide to get the full version.
FML players, of course, are already getting a heads up on the new game – we have a very similar version of the tactics creator in the retail gameworlds now. And, of course, the new match engine. So, feel free to let the Football Manager fans what they’re missing, and encourage them over to the free trial while they’re waiting for FM to be released!
All this has been announced over at Mirrorfootball.co.uk, so check out the site for the latest announcements regarding the demo and Miles’ blogs.
