FML 1.3 doesn't have any "new" set piece instructions, it does have improvements to the way they are implemented though, and changes to the default positioning.

So, no blog about that - not in the near future anyway, although a "set piece" creator is something that's seen some discussion as a future addition, so if that's confirmed we'll certainly take a good look at it.

Also some discussion of late about the possibility of introducing an additional defensive instruction (Defend GK or similar), but again not confirmed at this stage.

A question for Mark Burton:

The "set piece instructions" were improved in fm2010/FML 1.3?
For example: more instructions in "free kick" for individual players.

There will be a blog on this?

Thx.

Good artical Mark :) Some of the points in particular stood out for me:

"a new change will now see crowds have an occasional influence on a linesman’s decision if he’s out of position." - Just...wow :D Very cool.

"Six new player preferred moves (PPM) have been implemented" - I realise some PPMs were removed from FM09 (and presumably FML) as they just didn't work as intended. Are these the ones?

"the use of outright speed should become less important" - I usually defend the overall strength of the ME rather than look for it's flaws but the current ME does seem to overate pace.

"the so called 2nd leg bug, has also seen some response." - Whether this is an actual problem or just our imaginations, I'm not sure, but I swear I've been affected by this before (both positively and negatively) so we'll see what happens.

"The other big change in terms of stadium atmosphere is something we’ll look to address at a later date" - This one has taken my interest ever since I first saw it mentioned and it would certainly add a lot to games IMO.
